HOW IT WORKS

How you can get involved and collaborate with other creatives on this platform.

THE PROBLEM STATEMENT

WHAT

#AfrikanCreate is a cloud-based artist collaboration platform that combines digital content management tools to creative volunteers who wish to collaborate with other peers.

WHY

The spread of COVID-19 has brought fear, doubts, anxiety and depression into people’s lives. Art Therapy is one of the ways in which creatives can help ease such mental health issues.

HOW

Artists can sign up to curate collaborations that educate people about the pandemic or work that will echo messages of hope and encouragement which resonate across our borders.

COLLABORATING

Collaborating on the AfrikanCreate platform is easy. Upon signing up, you will have access to the Collaborations Page and interact with the different projects or create your own.

All work uploaded on the platform remains intellectual property of the original creators. AfrikanCreate follows the Creative Commons (CC) licensing model.

This public copyright license enables the free distribution of an otherwise copyrighted "work". A CC license is used when an author wants to give other people the right to share, use, and build upon a work that they (the author) have created.

Artists who may choose to engage with each other privately for other work are encouraged to do so at their own discretion and costs which may be incurred.

We do encourage this as a form of connecting communities to continue collaborating on this platform even further beyond the current COVID-19 pandemic.
